On the 20th of Feb. 2023 online was held the As one project (101089510- AS ONE – ERASMUS – SPORT – 2022 – SSCP) first transnational project meeting, hosted by the coordinator Tennis Club Dornbirn. The project is co-funded by the European Union, Erasmus + programme and includes three organisations: Tennis club Dornbirn (Austria), Tennis club Favorite ( Bulgaria), Tennis club Bernhausen e.V. (Germany). During the meeting the partners discussed the timelines, work packages, communication and dissemination.

The AS ONE project has set the overall objective to use the beautiful tennis sport as a tool for successful integration of disadvantaged children and young people at risk of social exclusion, living in remote or rural communities, and girls in general. Researchers have long noted that “boys don’t have as much of a barrier, mentally and physically, they grow differently. Girls struggle to have the same momentum once they hit puberty” – with special emphasis here on “the effects of periods and contraceptive pills.”
